At Emmanuel we are always looking for creative ministry ideas. Each year we take a look at our ministry plan and prayerfully consider where God is leading us. Sometimes good ideas come up out of the blue as God points out new opportunities.
Good ideas, however, can get lost. That is why we have created the idea bank which is a place for you to share your ideas with the leadership. We cannot promise to use every idea, but we will take notice and allow them to shape our prayers and plans.
Emmanuel has being doing summer day camps for decades. We offer a safe, fun and afforadable opportunity for children from preschool to grade five. We offer a wide diversity of camps including half day camps for preschoolers and all day camps for older children. Three Wednesdays a month from September to June families gather from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at the church. We share a potluck meal toghether for the first hour. During the second hour children are cared for in the gym while parents meet together for discussion, sharing and prayer. This group is always open to new familes.

For over ten years Emmanuel has been reaching out to post secondary students offering a free meal on Tuesday evening during the fall and spring semesters. It is a great way to express love and grace to students and offer support to those with limited budgets.
Students are welcome to come early and study while they wait for the meal to begin. It is a great place to build relationships and enjoy a communal meal. Our hope is to creat an atmoshphere of friendship. There is no obligation to become involved at Emmanuel. The meal has no strings attached. For those who are exploring faith and looking for community, we have discussion groups and events available for English and Mandarin speaking students.
Those wishing to find a meaningful opportunity to serve, there are a wide variety of service opportunities including preparing food and serving during the meals.
